Well after Ryan Howard signing that huge contract how much will the best player of our generation get? I wonder if the Cards will be able to afford it. I say 35 mil a year..

Heard a discussion on this on ESPN yesterday. Based on the numbers alone, he's a 40% increase over Ryan Howard, so is conceivably worth 35 mill a year. ridiculous. The Pirates' entire payroll this year is 42 Mil. Seriously, there's what? MAYBE 2 teams in the league that can afford 35 mil a year?

Red Sox! They won't be too happy coming in behind Tampa Bay and NY this year. I'm not sure if the Cards can afford him. Pujols deserves the highest contact ever.
