Tampa Bay releases Derrick Brooks

Hard to imagine seeing Derrick Brooks in a uniform other than a Tampa Bay Bucs uniform. The hold overs from the Dungy era are all but disappearing at this point. Monte Kiffin is gone and it looks like they're making alot of changes there. I could see Dallas going after Brooks. He is such a strong leader they could use someone with his presence in that locker room. He's another guy that NE may go after too. Rick you know how much the hoodie likes those wily old vets.

No doubt, his football smarts would make him an instant contributor. Just the type of player the pats would usually like, even if you only get 2 years from him. Great mentor to the younger guys, and would be one of those guys that would probably be revitalized on a team with a good offense.
